Collection: Water Filters

When using an espresso machine machine at home, its very important to ensure you only run properly filtered water through it. Fridge jug style water filters are not suitable for espresso coffee as they do not filter enough minerals out to prevent limescale build up inside the boiler. Protect your investment with a proper water filter system designed for coffee machines. Poor water quality is one of the most common causes for machine break down and if ignored major servicing could be required costing you far more in the long run.

We highly recommend the Brita C150 for the VBM Domobar machine and at the very least a C50 can be sufficient for small machines at home. Most small cafes in NZ will run a Brita C150 or similar. The Brita AC1000 that we supply is really only suitable for filtering drinking water and we do not recommend it for coffee machines.

The best way to go is install a under kitchen bench water filter system that runs to a separate tap on the sink. That way you can filter your coffee machine water and also use it for your drinking water at the same time. Also remember to change your water filter cartridge regularly to ensure proper operation and adequate filtering.

Elements in water can influence your coffee’s taste, consistency and appearance.

Ensure your coffee satisfaction with a BRITA water filter.
